SIMON THE GARDENER

Simon Donaldson was born in Edinburgh in 1969. He started gardening in his father's garden and landscaping business in 1998. Here, he learned the basics; grass cutting, hedge cutting, weeding and weed killing before moving on to plant identification, pruning - how to prune and when, lawn treatments, pest and disease control, new plantings, tree and shrub shaping and pruning, propagation - taking cuttings, division and seed sowing, seasonal bedding displays, topiary and formal plant shaping. 

In 2001, Simon started looking after several clients in the Ravelston Dykes and Murrayfield areas of Edinburgh.

In 2003, Simon started his own business 'Simon Donaldson Gardening' - maintaining, designing, building and reclaiming gardens all over Edinburgh.
